Who We Are

Geral Auger
Gerald Auger, of Woodland Cree descent, is an award-winning Director/Actor with over 25 years in Hollywood. His first film was Gunslinger's Revenge alongside Harvey Keitel and David Bowie. Notable roles include Pawnee Killer (Hell On Wheels, AMC), Timothy Whiteknife (Tin Star, HBO), Chief Wandering Spirit (Bones of Crows, CBC), and Crow Chief (Dreamkeeper, Hallmark). His work on Lost Face reached the Oscars' Top 10 Short Films in 2019.
Gerald’s first film as a writer/director, Walking Alone, earned Best Film & Best Director awards. His 2008 documentary, Honour Thy Father, won acclaim for representing Indigenous spirituality and cultural diversity. A dedicated storyteller, Gerald has practiced ceremony and learned from traditional elders for over 33 years, aiming to authenticate Indigenous narratives in the Golden Age of 4 Directional Storytelling.

B. Daniel Clayton
Ben Clayton is a multidisciplinary filmmaker, artist, inventor, and business consultant focused on environmental sustainability and social change. With expertise in product, media, and business development, he has held roles such as Innovation Strategy Specialist at Frux™, VP of Product & Design at Nu-Worx Technologies, and Producer at Black Eagle Entertainment. Ben holds a BSc in Robotics, a Master’s in Business with Industrial Design, and trained in 40 digital media programs at the Banff New Media Institute (BNMI).
At the Banff Centre, Ben collaborated with over 1,400 international tech and creative leaders, organizing workshops, think tanks, and residencies. He has worked with top Canadian production teams, led film training programs, and performed lead roles in productions like Bugsy Malone, Oliver Twist, and Little Shop of Horrors. For over a decade, Ben has practiced land-based teachings as an Oskâpêwis (elder’s helper), learning from Woodland Cree elders and traditional knowledge keepers.

Todd Ivey
Todd is the Manager of Business Affairs for 4 Directional Studios, overseeing corporate operations and serving as Executive Producer for film and television projects, managing financial and legal matters. Todd’s business journey began in the late 80s, learning under his father in the family business. By the early 90s, he launched his first venture, a digital animation and design company, which evolved into Coptor Productions, a video post-production and content creation studio co-owned with Jeremy Edwardes.
Coptor’s partnerships, including with Wabung Anung Films led by Indigenous Producer Jim Compton, have resulted in over 15 years of Indigenous films and television series, many aired on APTN. Todd now brings his extensive experience to 4 Directional Studios, ensuring smooth operations so the creative team can focus on storytelling.
